Welcome to Tasky!

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tasky website (thetaskyapp.com), our waitlist, and the Tasky mobile application ("App") (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

Tasky is designed for parents and children to encourage positive habits and manage tasks in a fun and engaging way. We're here to help make family life a little smoother!

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the website, joining our waitlist, or downloading/using the Tasky App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the legal guardian of the minor and agree to these Terms on their behalf.

2. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

Tasky is intended for use by parents/guardians and their children. Account creation and management should be done by an adult (18 years or older). Children may use the App under the direct supervision and guidance of an adult who holds the primary account.

By using Tasky, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Your Tasky Account

  • Account Creation: To use certain features of the App, you will need to register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during the registration process and to keep your account information updated.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any activities or actions under your account. Tasky cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.
  • Family Use: Tasky is designed for family use. Parents/guardians are responsible for all activities conducted by their children through the App.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Tasky Services only for their intended purpose: to help families manage tasks and encourage positive habits. You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
  • Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm another person or entity.
  • Upload or transmit any content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on any third party's rights.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: All content provided by Tasky (text, graphics, logos, images, software, etc.) is the property of Tasky or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
  • User Content: Any content you submit to the App (e.g., custom tasks, feedback) remains yours. However, by submitting it, you grant Tasky a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and distribute that content within the scope of providing and improving the Services.

6. Changes to Services and Terms

We may update or change the Tasky Services, features, and these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or through the App. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • "As Is" Basis: The Tasky Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
  • No Medical Advice: Tasky is a tool for habit tracking and task management and is not intended to provide medical, psychological, or behavioral advice. Always consult with a qualified professional for any concerns regarding your child's health or development.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tasky shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may do so by contacting us.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
